Joan Yoda has been a calligrapher since 1980. She has taught calligraphy courses through adult education school and in-service workshops. Recently she has started a new division of her calligraphy business providing computer generated lettering and creating personalized stationery items using InScribe and Personalized Expressions software.

Joan was a teacher at The Ocean Township Intermediate School where she taught 6th grade for 25 years and computer applications for seven years.  She retired from teaching June 2011 and now is devoting more time to her business.

Joan resides in Wall Township, New  Jersey, with her husband, Wayne, and her 20 year old son, Christopher, who is a sophomore at Gettysburg College.
